Motor Traffic Guarantee Fund terms and conditions

If you have suffered damage with your vehicle, the Motor Traffic Guarantee Fund will intervene under ten conditions provided that the liability of the perpetrator has been established:

• if it is not known who caused the damage;
• if the motor vehicle causing the damage is not insured;
• if the damaging motor vehicle is stolen and the driver is aware of the theft;
• if the insurance company is insolvent;
• if the possessor/holder has an exemption from the obligation to take out insurance due to reasons of conscience.
• if the damage occurred in the Netherlands
• if the damage is more than the deductible
• If the damage to the vehicle was caused by another motor vehicle
• If the damage has been reported
• If there are witnesses to the accident or who can testify that the vehicle was not driven
