Own risk Guarantee fund

If you experience damage to your car caused by an unknown vehicle, you can claim your damages from the Guarantee Fund. The Guarantee Fund has an excess of €250.

If damage is caused to your car in the Netherlands, the Guarantee Fund will pay for the damage caused by another vehicle. Damage caused by a cyclist or a shopping cart will not be compensated. Damage caused by vandalism or destruction is also not covered by the Guarantee Fund.

The Guarantee Fund has a deductible of €250 for any compensation with material damage provided the damage was caused by an unknown vehicle.
